многоколонный газетный формат
в НИС - способ форматирования текста с двумя или более колонками (столбцами) на странице, причём текст заполняет сначала сверху донизу одну колонку, а потом переходит на верх следующей. Текстовые процессоры, например Microsoft Word или WordPerfect, автоматически размещают (заливают) текст по колонкам и даже выравнивают их нижние границы, чтобы страница выглядела профессионально (красиво).
